For those of you that has never watched “Waiting To Exhale”, this scene is the most dramatic scene of the whole movie. When a woman’s fed up with bullshit, sometimes she takes it out on your belongings. At the time, burning your clothes or throwing bleach on those bad boys doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
I have certainly had the “I will burn your shit” moment. Not really out of spite, but out of anger. I got so angry to the point where I was asking folks what was the best way to burn something without accidentally burning down my place. Some folks tried talked me out of it, while others where giving me damn tips on how to do it. Lol. I calmed down and realized burning his shit was just a temporary fix to a permanent issue. Even though I would have felt so much better once I did it, at the end of the day I would have still felt betrayed and hurt by him. So it wasn’t really worth doing it, especially if I did it incorrectly then I end up on Fox 5 news for burning down my building.
We all get angry, pissed, f*cked over whatever you want to call it, from time to time. I think the bigger person can overcome all that by keeping a level head. But if you know your ass just isn’t capable of being the bigger one then…um do what you gotta do to feel a little better. *Joking, i kid i kid*
Holla at me: Ladies, have you ever destroyed something belonging to your boo? If so, did you feel vindicated after you did it?

I've NEVER been that type of woman to destroy a man's personal items. I guess I fear retaliation too much. I love ALL my belongings LOL!!! But trust me, the thought has certainly crossed my mind. But I'd much rather hurt him than his possessions! I can get ignorant as hell but burning, cuttin, scratchin, ripping, and breaking any of his things just has never been in me to do. But that Waiting to Exhale scene WAS THE SHIT!!! "GET YO SHIT! GET YO SHIT! AND GET THE FUCK OUT!!!" CLASSIC!

Well I am guilty as charged. My ex had piss me off so damn bad. He had a woman by his place and she had the nerve to answer the phone. When I redialed, he answered and said I called the wrong number. I reached by his black, short ass so damn fast you hear. Only to find the house in darkness and his car gone. As I waited for him to come home, my rage grew more intense. When he reached home, boy he had it, I mashed up all 3 of his cell phones. I cut his main telephone line and I sat over him all night with a knife in my hand saying if you move, I will cut your f***ing head off. I was very young then. To say the very least, we don't talk anymore and I "hate" him with a passion because of what he put me through. But also he taught me a valuable lesson, never let people know what you are thinking. Now if I am pissed to that point, I write about it to release that steam. Surprisingly, I don't even get in rage to even say anything. I am the type that internalize my feelings, then eventually blow. Hurting a man's feelings and ego hits them where it hurts big time than things that can be replaced. "A hole in one".

Missy,
OMG bwahahahaha. Damn girl you ruthless. But men can put you in situations where all you see is red. I was involved with this guy and found out he cheated and had a baby with someone else. The first thing that came to my mind was actually shooting the fuck out of him. When that thought popped into my head I knew I had to let him go. I never got that angry to the point I wanted to shoot his ass and watch him die. *I know I sound psycho right now* But when your angry you find all kinds of thoughts go through your mind and u wonder how the hell you got in that situation.

That is for sure…anger gets the best of most people. I have learned how to contain my anger now. It really doesnt make any sense to go on like a psycho because they will eventually leave anyway. If you have to reach to the poing whereas you have to do such crazy things, it is time to tell yourself it aint worth it. But you live and you learn!

You know I absolutely agree. I've been in some realtionships that will drive you to drink, I mean really. I have to say now that I'm married I find that when I don't say anything, just the silent treatment I make out like a champ. I am much older and you learn that men are really stupid. I mean no really they are, the reality is that no matter how upset we get chances are they still won't get it. So save your self all the fustration and on those nights that the bastard gets you upset go find that great out-fit and have drinks with the girls. Let him see that you can still be you with or without him and the sun doesn't rise and set on his ass…

I never did the destroy property only because I didn’t need any issues with cops and court, etc. Did I have the urge? Damn right. Instead I took to breaking into his email and emailing his ENTIRE address book very disparaging pieces of info. He knew it was me but couldn’t prove shite. Anger and hurt will have you doing things that normally you’d shy away from. As you get older, you learn to handle things differently.
