Well, Im in a LD relatioship. My bf is in the military and they deployed him for one year to Kosovo. At the begining it was very hard and stressfull and i felt alone. But now i try to thnk of it as a good thing..this will either make or break us, if we make it through or not. I have never been away from him but thank god for technology..
A LD relationship can work if you keep a positive attitude about it all the time…and have no doubts.

I was in a long distance relationship for awhile and it is not only expensive to keep up but time consuming and stressing to maintain. Now I have a beautiful baby with my long distant lover which I discovered was trying to get back with his ex the entire time we had been dating and found out after I had decided to move in with him so that we could raise our child together. Now we live like roommates because of the fights, distrust and disgust his behavior has caused. My advice for those who are in long distant relationships would be NOT to waste your time. Get with someone who is only 10-20 minutes away vs 1 hour or more.

I try to avoid long distance relationships at all costs and have done a pretty good job of avoiding them. But sometimes when you meet someone that is just so right or such an incredible rush, you just can't say no! Oppps, lalaland screwing up one's judgement again.

Thanks girl. I have been in 2 and for me it was the hardest thing I had to do. Not only was I always thinking about him doing something I had to watch myself too. I was um kind of a playa back in the day, but I must say I stayed faithful. Good luck girl

I've actually been in a couple of LD relationships, kind of in one now… problem is, like you said about minds/eyes wandering and lack of trust issues… I'm hoping for better this go around tho (and that explosive, yes!) Great article.
